A little something about me...
Hello world wide web!
Let me start by extending a great big THANK-YOU for visiting my site and following my journey as I embark on a very important year of my life. Another chapter in my 'education novel', where the page will be folded or a bookmark laid but the book never closed.
I am in my fifth and final year at Lakehead University, finishing up (yet only just beginning) the Concurrent Education program. I live in Orillia, Ontario in a house with three other teacher candidates in fact, and together we share thoughts and ideas about our futures and the future students we hope to educate.
I have adopted a new found understanding and curiosity for the ways in which technology can be integrated into the classroom and furthermore a greater appreciation for media literacy in education.
I am hoping that this site and the things that I share will not only help me along my path to be the best 21st century teacher I can be but also give others some tools and resources to be successful in this rapidly growing digital environment.
(Above is a picture that I find too awesome not to share! My nieces "reading" my sisters first novel).
